Chronic Pain and Complex Conditions
Manual Edge provides personalized, evidence-based physical therapy for people with chronic pain and complex conditions. We help you improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence—so you can move with more confidence and live with less pain, often without surgery.
What is chronic pain?
Chronic pain is pain that lasts longer than 3–6 months—beyond normal healing time. Often, the continued pain is due to the breakdown of normal tissue and joint biomechanics. Other times, it’s caused by an overactive or “misfiring” nervous system—like a broken alarm that keeps ringing even after the danger has passed. We have found that treating a combination of the musculoskeletal, visceral/organ, and cranial systems is an important component for a long-term solution to chronic pain. In addition, we utilize techniques to reset the nervous system and regulate pain signals.
Chronic pain affects daily life, work, and relationships—so treatment works best with this whole-person approach. The good news: with the right support and plan, chronic pain can be treated—and quality of life can improve.

Neuromuscular re-education to improve coordination, reduce fall risk, and support normal function. - Nervous System & Energy Regulation
For conditions like POTS and Long COVID, we focus on regulating the nervous system, and pacing. - Practical Education
